It seems a long time ago Judy & I first bought our land and embarked on our dream project of building our retirement home in the sun, from a piece of scrubland, our first delivery of stone, to the finished job. Our Dream Home in the Sun.

It was quite by chance we came upon Adalilar Estate Agents and first met Hasan with whom we have now become firm friends, this typifies their approach to their clients, and you are always made welcome. The ways of conducting business in Turkey are quite different to back in the UK and often lead to a feeling of, "Am I being conned," All we can say is that from the outset we have had nothing but complete integrity in all our dealings with this family run business.

During the initial stages we had many meetings with Mustafa and Reinhold where our ideas were always listened to and most of them where incorporated in to our dream home. We went into the office one day with an idea and a revised plan appeared the next, you would not even get an appointment back here in that time. Once construction had commenced we were back in the UK but we were kept up to date with progress with photographs being regularly emailed to us, these plus those we had taken on our trips to Altinkum have been made into quite a comprehensive album which is very interesting to look back on. Another thing we found with Adalilar is that when you are back in the UK and feeling a very long way from your project it is very satisfying to know that there is always someone at the end of the telephone you can talk to, summer and winter they are always reachable, unlike some estate agents who seem to vanish when the season ends.

Judy and I are very pleased that our plans are just about to come to fruition and that we will have many years of happy retirement in our Dream Home in the Sun.
